How to fully utilize the search function on my web site?
As you may experience when searching for your dream home on the internet, sometimes the data could be overwhelming. To make your search more easily on my website, I use a case scenario to guide you through the search function.
Let say you are looking for a detached home in Vancouver East where you think the price is more affordable in the Greater Vancouver Area.
So, where do you want to start?
First, you may want to pick up a sub-area you like to search for. This sub-area approach can narrow down your search, and it is useful for future price comparison.
In this example, there are 16 sub-area in Vancouver East. (For more information for the sub-area, you can check the Sub-area Map)
In this example, let say you want to pick up the Renfrew (RE) sub-area in the Vancouver East region. The reason why you pick Renfrew is that your workplace is close by. It only takes you 15 minutes to commute.
Step one, go to my home page, click the “Search” button.
Once you click the “Search” button, you will see a screen as follow.
Then you click the “More” button.
Once you click the “More” button, you will see the following screen.
So now, you can set up your criteria to narrow down the search.
You input the price range. (We use 1M to 1.5M in this example)
Choose the dwelling type. (For this example, you are looking for a single-family home)
To simplifies this example, I only set three criteria.

You can add more criteria to narrow down your search. (In this example, we set three criteria in the search so that you will see the number “3” in a red colour besides the “More” button.
Once you set the criteria, it will come to the following screen.
All the listing in the specific sub-area will appear as the red dot.
Once you click the listing, you will see all the information including
Average listing price in the sub-area
There are several options we can do if you like the listing.
You can add the listing in your favourite folder.
You can share the listing link to your email.
Some listings have an open house at the weekend. You can check on the time available before you visit.

The historic transaction price in the sub-area
Arrange a private showing.
Make a comparative analysis of the listing.
